County Line barbecue, Aguanga, CA

The County Line

Yesterday we had great barbecue with our friends from the park. This restaurant is out in the middle of no where, but it has great food, atmosphere, and a view. The weather was great so we sat outside, and enjoyed the day.

Chuck and Kathy have been such great hosts. We have enjoyed our stay at the park, and hope to return someday. We ended the day by going and having root beer floats at Friendship Hall with the rest of the community.    David and Linda have come to travel with us to Yuma, so we are off to having some more adventures...

Today we are getting our honey do’s done so that we can leave tomorrow for Yuma. Here is our spot in the park, and the view of the mountains…
Till the next time......

Temecula, California

Temecula Old Town
Yesterday  morning headed to  Temecula.  There is an old town there where there are lots of shops.  We just did a drive by, and went on to find barbecue at Lucille's Smokehouse....it was yummy.  we both had ribs, and left very full...we also found a car wash to get the dust off the truck.

Today we headed to Valley view Casino for a free buffet, and play a little slots.  The buffet was supposed to have lobster tails, but they would not be ready until dinner.  We chose to eat anyway.  It was a great buffet, and the desserts were fantastics.  Rollie and I then went to play some poker on the machines, and we hit four of a kind....so since we were up, we headed out.  On the way home, there was one of the 13 California missions, a beautiful mission chapel, with a very old cemetery..  Here are a couple pictures of the mission and Rollie's patron saint, St. Anthony.

It was founded in1816....and still being used.

Well that is all for now....we have been taking on line courses with the American red Cross.  We have joined the DOVES, which is part of the Escapees.  It means Disaster Operation Volunteers Escapees.  When we get back to Corpus Christi, TX we will get more training with our chapter, and will be able to volunteer with them.

Aguana, CA

JOJOBA SKP Resort
A Vew from the entrance

This is a beautiful SKP Co-op in the Sierra desert.  The elevation is about 3,000 feet.  WE were welcomed here by our friends Chuck and Kathy, and lots of other friendly smiles.  The very first night here we went to La Bistro in Fallmark, Ca.  Glad Chuck drove since I had forgotten how wonderful the traffic is here..lol..

This morning we tried to get some of the dust from our 5th wheel, and do two weeks of laundry.  Now that that is done we are ready to tour.  At lunch we of course found a Mexican restaurant.

Quartzsite 2012

2012 Circle of the Montanas
Well it has been a long time since we have blogged about  our whereabouts. We left the end of December with friends we met at Gillette, David and Linda.  This is the first time we actually travelled with another Montana, and found it was great fun.  Linda is a fantastic blogger, so I found it was not necessary since we were part of her journey as we headed to Quartzsite, where there is a huge RV show.  We camped off of Plomosa road again this year with the Montana group and had a great time.  Here are a few photos of the group here.

David, Jack, and Mike, the Wagon masters
The Whole Group, as well as the wagon masters did a great job in making sure we had a great time. Texas was definitely represented as well. We sure didn't plan it , but our Montana's were all together and as you can see our flags were flying high....lol...

Janet at London Bridge

Rollie at London Bridge
One of the side trips we took, was to Lake Havasu to see the London Bridge, and of course to find some Mexican food.  It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed seeing the bridge as well.

We left yesterday and came to Aguanga, CA to an SKP Coop..a great place to visit, and dust  from the desert.
