Redding, CA

We are going to stay here for about two weeks, reliving some of Rollie’s old stomping grounds.  He lived here for about 10 years off and on.  We are staying at Bear Mountain RV Park, just north of Redding.  It is unique, and quiet.  Probably would not recommend it to my Rv travelers, but it is working for us.  On Wednesday, we will move out to Whiskeytown, to the National Park for a few days.
Since we have been here, we saw our accountant Nat, had my cracked filling replaced, and ordered a part for our level up system at the new camping world.
Shasta DamBelow is a picture taken at Shasta Dam which we toured….with about 15 ten year olds.  It was great and so were they.
Everyone we talked with warned us how hot it would be here, but it has been cool, even as low as 45 at night.
The other day we also went to Turtle Bay, and walked across the Sundial Bridge.  It also has a glass walkway, very unique.P1000626_thumb
We also took a ride according to our GPS to get back to the RV park.  It was warned that you should not use your GPS to get to the park, and they were right!!!  It took us on dirt roads and paths.  So glad we were NOT pulling.  And Rollie had 4 wheel drive!!!

Last of all we had to find Rollie’s favorite fish and chips place.  It was still there; so lunch was great.  Buz’s also has a fresh fish market, so we will be back!!
